The 15 days Nar Phu Valley trek starts with a drive to Jagat from Kathmandu. We will then trek along the famous Annapurna circuit and reach Kota where we will deviate from the route of Annapurna and trek to the Nar Phu Valley route. Trekking ahead and crossing the famous Kang La pass will take us to this beautiful and hidden valley located between the Annapurna and Manaslu range.

Nar Phu Valley Trek 15 Days Itinerary

Day 1Kathmandu Arrival day.

Kathmandu is the biggest city and capital of Nepal, and it’s where you’ll be arriving on Day 1 of your trip. When you land at the airport, your guide will be there to meet you and take you to your hotel. Once you’re settled in, you can take some time to relax or explore the city.

Day 2Kathmandu to Koto via Besisahar (2600m)

On Day 2 of your trip, you’ll start the day with breakfast before embarking on a scenic drive to Besisahar. From there, you’ll take a 4-wheel drive to Koto, with stunning mountain scenery and picturesque villages to admire along the way. You’ll spend the night in Koto.

Day 3Koto to Meta (3560m)

Day 3 is when your trekking adventure starts, as you make your way to Meta. You’ll trek through dense forests and follow the path along the Soti Khola River. On this leg of your journey, you’ll also be treated to breathtaking views of the Annapurna and Manaslu mountain ranges. You’ll spend the night in Meta.

Day 4Meta to Phu Gaon (4250m)

Your trek continues and you’ll traverse stunning landscapes of rocky terrain and deep gorges. You’ll pass through several traditional Tibetan villages and have the opportunity to witness the unique culture and lifestyle of the people living in this remote region. Your overnight stay will be in Phu Gaon.

Day 5Phu Gaon to Nar (4110m)

Day 5’s trek begins with a journey through beautiful alpine forests, crossing over several suspension bridges. Along the way, you’ll be treated to incredible views of the Himalayas as you make your way to Nar. You’ll spend the night in Nar.

Day 6Acclimatization Day in Nar

Day 6 is an important rest day to allow your body to acclimatize to the altitude. You can take a leisurely walk around Nar to explore the local culture and lifestyle. This rest day will help you adjust to the altitude and prepare for the rest of your journey.

Day 7Nar to Ngawal via Kangla Pass (5322m) (3660m)

On Day 7, you’ll embark on one of the most challenging legs of your trek, as you cross the Kangla Pass. This trail takes you through breathtaking landscapes and over the pass, leading you to Ngawal. You’ll be treated to stunning views of the Annapurna and Manaslu mountain ranges along the way. Your overnight stay will be in Ngawal.

Day 8Ngawal to Manang (3540m)

On Day 8, your trek continues with a journey through beautiful alpine forests and across several suspension bridges. You’ll have the opportunity to enjoy stunning views of the Himalayas as you make your way to Manang, where you’ll spend the night.

Day 9Manang to Yak Kharka (4018m)

Day 9’s trek will take you through stunning landscapes of rocky terrain and deep gorges. You’ll pass through several traditional villages, giving you a glimpse of the unique culture and lifestyle of the people living in this remote region. You’ll spend the night in Yak Kharka.

Day 10Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi (4450m)

On Day 10, your trek continues through beautiful alpine forests and across several suspension bridges as you leave Yak Kharka. Along the way, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the Himalayas as you make your way to Thorong Phedi, where you’ll spend the night.

Day 11Thorong Phedi to Thorong La Pass (5416m) to Muktinath (3800m)

Day 11 is considered one of the most challenging days of the trek as you’ll be crossing the Thorong La Pass, which is one of the highest mountain passes in the world. Once you cross the pass, you’ll descend to Muktinath, a sacred site that holds significance for both Hindus and Buddhists. You’ll spend the night in Muktinath.

Day 12Muktinath to Jomsom (2800m)

Day 12’s trek involves a descent from Muktinath to Jomsom. The trail takes you through the picturesque Kali Gandaki Valley, where you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the Nilgiri and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. You’ll spend the night in Jomsom.

Day 13Jomsom to Pokhara (by flight) (20 minutes)

On Day 13, you’ll take a 20-minute flight from Jomsom to Pokhara, a picturesque town located by a tranquil lake. After arrival, you’ll have the chance to unwind and explore Pokhara at your own pace. You’ll spend the night in Pokhara.

Day 14Pokhara to Kathmandu (by tourist bus/flight)

On day 14, you will depart from Pokhara and travel back to Kathmandu either by tourist bus or flight. After arrival, you will have the opportunity to explore the city or shop for souvenirs. You will spend the night in Kathmandu.

Day 15Final Departure from Kathmandu

On the last day of your trip, your guide will accompany you to the international airport in Kathmandu for your flight back home. We hope you had a memorable experience trekking through Naar Phu Valley and look forward to welcoming you back to Nepal in the future.
