Tour Overview

Everest Base Camp trek, one of the popular trekking destinations of the world takes trekkers to the heart of the world’s highest mountain, Everest. This might look fun but reaching the base camp of Everest is a challenging task and one should need good physical stamina and trekking experience to reach the base camp. Climbing to the base camp through the Jiri village route is a relatively easier trail and one should face fewer challenges on this trail than that on the regular trail. We can call this trail a legendary trail as the first two climbers, Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa used this route to reach to the summit of the world’s highest mountain.

Legends call this route the original route to Everest as explorers and mountaineers used this route to reach the base camp of Everest. This journey rewards the visitors with a magnificent view of Himalayan ranges including some of the highest mountains of the world such as Everest (The highest mountain of the world), Annapurna, Kanchenjunga, Lhotse, Cho-Oyu, Amadablam, Pumori and other many beautiful mountain ranges.

One can also explore the unique lifestyle and culture of people who are living in the Everest region for many years. Some of the major attractions of this journey are the sightseeing of Namche Bazar, Sagarmatha National Park, Gokyo valley, Gokyo Ri, Gokyo lake, Thyangboche monastery, Everest Base Camp, unique cultures and lifestyles of the people.

The Jiri Everest Base Camp trek starts with a long and scenic drive to Jiri. We will then start our trek and hike through the lower parts of the Khumbu region until we reach the Namche Bazar, popularly known as the gateway of Everest. Trekking ahead via Thyangboche, Dingboche and Lobuche will take us to the base camp of Everest. We will then trek up to reach Kalapatthar which is a famous viewpoint of the Khumbu region.
