Chulu Peak, located in the Annapurna region is one of the famous and demanding and popular trekking destinations in our country. This peak climbing journey is designed for those trekkers and mountaineers who wish to trek the Himalayas of our country and want to gain experience on climbing the higher mountain ranges of our country.
One should need good physical stamina and good trekking experience to reach the summit of this beautiful peak. Chulu West Peak offers magnificent views of mountain ranges including some of the highest mountains of the world such as Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Lhotse and other many beautiful mountain ranges. The view from the summit of this mountain will be marvelous and one can feel that the mighty mountain ranges are welcoming them into this region. One can get an awesome opportunity to explore the ancient culture, tradition, lifestyle, wilderness and a wide variety of flora and fauna found in this region.
This incredible journey starts from Besisahar followed by the trek to the beautiful Bahun village of Bahundada. From here the trek gains elevation up to Chamje via suspension bridges over the Marsyangdi River. This is followed by an ascend to Bagarchap, a typical Tibetan village with architectural beauty. Next in the trial is a further climb up to Chame via thick forests, followed by a trek to Pisang with its incredible rock walls and formations. Then from Pisang, trekkers move upwards to Ngawal village situated at a height of 3600 m. From Ngawal, the base camp of the Chulu Peak is reached. From the Base Camp, a climb is done to the High Camp which is done slowly due to its mildly challenging nature. Panoramic views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and other mountains are constantly seen along the way. The summit is climbed next, which offers spectacular views of the aforementioned mountain ranges and a return are done to the base camp.
