Mardi Himal Trek Overview

Mardi Himal Trek, located in the famous Annapurna region.

This is one of the legendary trekking trails of our country and is famous for the magnificent views of Himalayan ranges from the Mardi Himal Base Camp. This is a newly opened trekking route and is rapidly growing its popularity among the trekkers and visitors. Mardi Himal Trek is one of the easiest trekking trails and most of the parts of this place is yet to be discovered. It is also known as the hidden treasure in the Annapurna region and you can explore many unexplored regions of Annapurna. The trek offers you an amazing view of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchre and Manaslu ranges. The major attractions of Mardi Himal Trek are the Mardi Himal Base Camp, Siding village, Lwang and the beautiful mountain ranges.

One can explore the unique lifestyle and culture of people who are living in this region since many years. The trekking route lets you walk through the diverse landscapes filled with dense rhododendron forest. You can even get to visit the untouched lakes, beautiful villages and observe the jaw dropping view of the Himalayan mountains.

Mardi Himal Trek starts from Pokhara. We will take a short drive of about an hour to reach Kande from where we will start our trekking. Then we will go through a steeper trail and then reach to the Australian camp from where we will head downwards to Pothana. We will trek up again to reach Deurali from where we will trek through the dense forest and reach low camp. We will take our tour further ahead and soon we will notice that the trees and the forest start to get smaller. After an hour of trek, we will reach to an open area from where we can see the astonishing view of Mt. Annapurna and Fishtail. Trekking ahead for about 4-5 hours will lead us to the destination of our tour, The Mardi Himal Base Camp.

Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Kathmandu.

Bold Andventures representative will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu hotel.

Day 2Sightseeing in Kathmandu and meeting with your trekking guide.

We will show you the delights of Kathmandu, taking in some of the wonderful historical, cultural and religious sites of the city. Kathmandu Durbar square,Swayambunath.You will also meet with your trekking guide to discuss the itinerary. Overnight in Kathmandu hotel.

Day 3Pokhara to Kande by Car/Jeep/Bus (45 minutes drive) and Trek to Pitam Deurali (5-6 hours trek, 2100m)

After breakfast, you will take a drive from Pokhara to Kande, from where you will begin your trek. The trek starts with a steep ascent through the forested trail to reach the Australian Camp. From here, the trail gradually climbs up to Pothana and then to Pitam Deurali, where you will spend the night. 

Day 4Pitam Deurali to Kokar Forest Camp (2330m, 5-6 hours trek)

On day 4, After devouring a delicious breakfast you will start your trek from Pitam Deurali. You will walk through dense forests and lush green vegetation, passing through several small settlements on the way. The trail offers stunning views of the Annapurna and Hiunchuli Mountains, and you will reach Kokar Forest Camp in the late afternoon, where you will spend the night.

Day 5Kokar Forest Camp to Mardi High Camp (3540m, 7 hours trek)

Waking up early, you will begin your trek to Mardi High Camp, which is a steep ascent through the forested trail. The trail offers panoramic views of the Himalayas, including Mt. Machhapuchhre, Mt. Annapurna South, and Mt. Hiunchuli. Upon reaching Mardi High Camp, you will check into your tea house and spend the night there.

Day 6Mardi High Camp to Mardi Base Camp Hike (3-4 hours) and Back to Mardi High Camp, Trek to Badal Danda (3340m)

Early in the morning, you will hike to Mardi Base Camp, offering stunning views of the Mardi Himal, Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South, and Hiunchuli Mountains. After spending some time at the base camp, you will trek back to Mardi High Camp for lunch. After lunch, you will start your descent to Badal Danda, where you will spend the night.

Day 7Badal Danda to Siding Village (Lunch) and Drive to Pokhara

We rise early today as we will be trekking to the Siding village. You will witness stunning views of the Annapurna South Mountains, Machhapuchhre and Mardi Himal. Upon reaching the Siding Village, you will enjoy your lunch and drive back to
Pokhara. If you have some time to spare, you can stroll around the city. You will spend the night here at Pokhara.

Day 8Pokhara to Kathmandu by Tourist Bus (7-8 hours drive)

On day 8, we will return back to Kathmandu via tourist bus. You will be enjoying the scenic drive along the way. Upon reaching Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your respective hotel. You can unwind and relax after a hectic yet enjoyable adventure. 

Day 9Kathmandu Final Departure

Our amazing journey comes to an end on day 9. On this day, we will drop you at the Tribhuwan International Airport for your final departure 3 hours prior to your flight.
