Best Time For Easy Treks In Nepal

The most favorable time for trekking in Nepal is either during Spring(March-May) or during Autumn(September-Late-November). These seasons offer the most favorable climates and clear and stupendous mountain views. However, the only challenge during this time could be the accommodations as it is the peak trekking season and you will encounter heavy traffic along the narrow trails. To avoid challenges regarding the accommodations you need to book your slot before the trek. Otherwise, it is the most preferred trekking season in Nepal.

We recommend you avoid the off seasons i.e. summer and winter. Summer is accompanied by monsoons(June To September) in Nepal which invite bugs, leeches, and other unwanted insects. Another challenge that you might face during monsoons is the slippery trails that might lead to accidents and further challenges.

Winter, especially from December to February, is even more demanding on the Himalayan trails in Nepal. The chances of heavy snowfall, rainfall, frosty climate, and slippery trails can be a big problem. We do not recommend you travel during these seasons. However, if you must travel during these seasons then make sure you have prior management and are fully prepared to face any unforeseen challenges.
